Case Study - Runwell Parish

Anti-social behaviour is an issue that is on the increase. It is a problem that many UK councils have to deal with on a regular basis; Runwell Parish Council is no exception.

Their sports pavilion became a regular target for vandalism and required a security solution to not only deter those responsible for the damage, but catch the culprits. An additional technical issue to overcome was the need to view the cameras from the main Parish office. However, the sports Pavilion had no “connection” to the outside world.

After an extensive site survey, ClearView determined that the best solution would be a digital wireless link between the two buildings.

They installed a 7 camera CCTV system that recorded images locally at the sports pavilion and then transmitted them via a digital wireless link to the village hall. Here live or recorded images can be viewed. By networking to the internet an additional benefit is the system can also be viewed from any remote location i.e. home address or central office. Authorised users can interrogate recorded footage or view live images through their internet web browser.

The project clearly shows ClearView's technical and design capabilities. By utilising a digital wireless CCTV system with the latest in IP recording technology, a system was provided that is reliable, user friendly and fully met thecouncil’s requirements.
