  • Decodes time/date/text data on selected models

The UNIMUX CDM018 is the world's first "Universal" De-Multiplexer for replaying CCTV surveillance tapes.

Previously, video tapes recorded using one manufacturer's mulitplexer could only be replayed using the same manufacturer's equipment. The UNIMUX provides cost and space savings because it will decode many of the main manufacturer's systems.

The UNIMUX is designed for organisations which need to replay multiplexed tapes made using a range of different systems, e.g. police, courts, retail chains, local authorities, town centre operators .

Quad Replay

Tapes recorded in quad format may be replayed as quad screen.

Alternatively, individual quadrants may be "zoomed" to full screen.

Time/date/text Replay

If time, date and text information is stamped on to the video pictures, this will be displayed. In some cases, manufacturers encode time, date and text information which may be decoded by the UNIMUX.

Displays

Images may be viewed in full or multi-screen formats including quad, 9, 16, 25, 1+12, 2+8 and PIP. Any combination of cameras may be displayed in all matrix formats e.g. 1, 7, 22, 30 in quad display.

Control Panel

The UNIMUX is operated by a simple push button front control panel with indicator lights for status information.

Menus

Where the type of multiplexer used to record a video tape is known, the description may be entered using a

simple menu system. In cases where the code type is unknown, the user can scan through a list of different manufacturers' systems whilst viewing live video pictures in a variety of screen formats. When the correct code is found the de-multiplexed pictures stabilise in matrix or full-screen format.
